A Little Bit Me with Ted Alexandro

Still flying solo as his wife lives it up in Hawaii without him, Ted contemplates the gap between the plans we make when we're on our own vs the reality of what we do (short answer: we eat multiple pizzas). Then as the solo flight reaches cruising altitude, Ted struggles with the deprivation of his entertainment choices while Madalyn is away, contemplates taking steroids, indulges his obsession with singing Phil Colins' Easy Lover into karaoke apps, and falls back in with a tough crowd spending extra time socializing at the Comedy Cellar, where Colin Quinn suggests Jim Norton should have to re-audition (and maybe everybody). Next in the triumphant return of "Cooking with Ted" Ted whips up some delicious vegan Cashew Pesto Pasta in the proper tone of voice. And finally in "The Catch Up" long-time Conan writer and hilarious comedian friend-of-Ted Laurie Kilmartin finally picks up Ted's call and he gets her to talk everything from how she made her LA shift to doing therapy with her mom, all in the time it takes to bake a pizza.

Cashew Pesto Pasta
Creamy 5-minute cashew pesto pasta sauce tossed with your favorite noodles.


8-10 ounces pasta noodles
1 cup packed basil leaves
1/3 cup Cashews
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/3 cup shredded parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
1/4 teaspoon black pepper (or to taste)
1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

Cook noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Combine basil leaves, cashews, garlic, olive oil, parmesan cheese,salt, pepper, and lemon juice in a blender or food processor. Pulse until smooth.
Toss noodles with pesto and serve.
